To request removal of material you believe infringes your copyright, your written notice must include all elements required by § 512(c)(3):
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (URLs, screenshots, or other specific pointers).
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good‑faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
4) Counter‑notice
If your content was removed or access was disabled and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter‑notice pursuant to § 512(g). Your counter‑notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location where the material appeared before it was removed or access was disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good‑faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your judicial district (or any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice or that person’s agent.
Unless the complainant files an action seeking a court order, we may restore the removed content 10–14 business days after we receive a valid counter‑notice.
5) Repeat‑infringer policy
We may terminate or restrict accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. We also may remove content alleged to infringe and disable Shared Links that point to such content.
